| John
Misak was born way back on August 11, 1970, in Baldwin,
New York. Actually, he was born in Franklin General Hospital,
in Franklin Square, but he was raised in Baldwin. His
father was a NYPD plainclothes detective, and later, both
his parents ran a billiard hall on Long Island. The billiard
hall is still with the family, as if John, much to the
family's chagrin.
After working in customer relations
for Toyota, a job he both loved and hated, John started
writing for computer game magazines and websites. His
work can still be seen on PCGameworld,
where he regularly writes reviews and feature articles.
His work has been published in Bikini Magazine, as well
as PC Gamer and Maximum PC.
Soft Case
was John's first published novel, hitting the market in
April 2001. This was followed by Time Stand Still
which was just released. The second book in the John Keegan
series, All in a Row, is now completed and should
be coming soon. The sequel to Time Stand Still,
tentatively titled One Light Burning is in the
works. Darren Camponi has unfortunately been a tough character
to continue.
John now teaches English at Queensborough
Community College and New York Institute of Technology.
