Camponi knew he was taking a risk when he opted to test
Jason Caufield's time machine and take a trip to the past.
He thought the experiment was a hoax. After finding out
he really did go back in time, he starts to wonder what
effect his trip had. What he doesn't realize is that most
of the effects were on his own body and mind. Something
has gone wrong with the experiment, and Darren starts
having tremors and visions.
Unable to tell anyone
about the validity of the experiment because he is afraid
of ending up like the other people involved, he tries
to solve the problems on his own and deal with his newfound
abilities. When his friend offers him a case in California,
Camponi takes it to get away and because he gets a vision
about a child in trouble.
What Camponi doesn't
know is that his vision is more correct than he can imagine,
and he is about to be thrown into an underground ring
that feeds the darkest desires of human nature. Given
no other choice, he decides to confront the people involved
and take down the ring. At risk will be his life, his
beliefs, and his own sanity.
Not only must he
confront this evil, he needs answers to what's happening
to him physically and mentally. The only man who can give
him those answers is in prison and has lied before. Does
he go visit him, or does he find his own answers?
